Senior Software Developer

Our client, a highly acquisitive business in the Energy sector, is looking to add to their software team by recruiting a Senior Software Developer to join its busy and growing business. This role has been created as our client has numerous large projects planned with several internal applications including their bespoke ERP system and finance package NetSuite.

The Software Developer will work within the Business Solutions Team to develop, deploy and improve required software solutions. This may include integrating existing software products and getting seemingly incompatible platforms to work together. 

This role can be based in either of their offices in Inverness or Grangemouth whilst our client offers a hybrid working model of up to 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Duties include:

• Facilitating business transitions and supporting the implementation of changes.
• Analysing and mapping business needs and processes throughout the organisation.
• Collecting, identifying, and documenting business requirements using various established business analysis methodologies.
• Detailing and explaining the impact of proposed solutions on benefits, costs, and risks, adhering to our marginal gain ethos and focusing on return on investment.
• Collaborating effectively with internal teams and third-party providers to scope, implement, test, and deploy solutions to business challenges.
• Helping to prepare and deliver training and reference materials for new processes and software systems.
• Providing post-go-live support for systems and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Working closely with other Business Systems Analysts to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Interfacing with Business Units and relevant Project Managers.
• Communicating requirements clearly and accurately to the Software Development team for solution development.
• Escalating any requests to the Business Solutions Manager for resolution, if necessary.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Business Solutions Manager.

This role would suit someone who has a strong background in C# .NET Core, C# ASP.NET and JavaScript whilst Azure would also be hugely beneficial. Our client uses a Microsoft Tech stack.
