Senior Staff Nurse

An exciting opportunity has become available for nurses to support the provision of urgent care while delivering ward based care at Portree Hospital on the picturesque Isle of Skye on the rugged west coast of Scotland and serves the population of Skye. This role will offer the opportunity for you to work within a supportive team who are dedicated to the provision of quality care. So if you are interested in working within a dedicated and supportive team with the opportunity to further develop and enhance your skills then this is the role for you.  This is a rewarding and hands-on role where youll have the opportunity to make a real impact working with the welcoming communities on Skye.

You will be a Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register and possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal. You will work autonomously to provide care to in-patients and will work collaboratively with the Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Rural Emergency Practitioners based at Broadford Hospital. Working knowledge of virtual consultation is desirable but not essential as training will be provided and the ability to work predominately from 20:00-08:30 is also desirable however internal rotation onto days will be required.
