Full Job Description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
There are various posts and hours available (part-time/fulltime). The shift pattern is rotational.
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
You must be a registered nurse, registered childs nurse, registered midwife.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to Join the Neonatal Nursing team within the Neonatal Unit at The Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. The Neonatal Unit provides Level 2 care to patients and their families within Greater Glasgow and Clyde areas and work in collaboration with other Neonatal Units in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, providing Level 3 care.
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programs of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programs ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients and their families.
In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse or deputy, provide cover to ensure the effective operation of the clinical area and taking charge on shift.
Experience in the field of Neonatal Nursing, with Neonatal Nursing Qualified in Specialty is essential. You must be able to work autonomously and as part of the wider team.
You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to family-centred care, continuing professional development, an understanding of our service, and the specific needs of our patients and their families.
