Full Job Description

Hutcheon Mearns are working with a Private Equity backed, high growth, multi-national organisation to source a Senior Tax Analyst with strong UK tax experience. This is an exciting developmental role which will offer the successful candidate opportunities to advance their career. Training, support and development will be provided in any areas new to the successful candidate. This business has recently had significant investment and a new strategy, making it an attractive prospect.

In this role, the successful candidate will be assisting and supporting the Regional Tax Manager (EMEA) in the preparation of all tax compliance obligations, tax reporting and other commercial tax advice in the EMEA region. They will assist the global tax director to maintain and control the Groups' global tax compliance monitoring system and assist the tax team globally on other ad hoc projects and duties.

The opportunity

  • Prepare UK corporate tax returns / computations, for review by the EMEA manager
  • Prepare UK VAT returns for review and sign off by EMEA manager
  • Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreement disclosures to HMRC
  • Deal with penalties / interest / tax admin matters with HMRC
  • Support Tax Manager (EMEA) across all taxes / countries in the region
  • Including but not limited to assisting with preparation of VAT returns, Corporate Tax analysis work and preparation work
  • Assistance with UK PSA return preparation
  • General administration and maintenance of HMRC online portal account and other online tax authority's online portal accounts
  • Support with global tax administration and global tax reporting
  • Assist the global tax director and tax managers in other regions on an ad hoc basis where required
  • Support with audit preparation

Background and Experience

To be successful you will ideally have tax experience in practice and industry. You will have worked on large oil and gas service company clients and be looking to further your career.
