Full Job Description

As an Account Manager at Nordex, you will have responsibility for the overall management of customer relationships, including the generation of after sales business, utilising a proactive approach to sales opportunities on existing and lost accounts, ensuring awareness of contractual conditions and supporting the service business with commercial customer requests and issues,

  • Key customer contact for commercial/contractual issues for a defined customer portfolio.

  • Building, developing and maintaining long-term client relationship ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Managing client complaints and contractual disputes, including warranty or defect claims

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to analyse customer requirements and generate service quotations

  • Responsibility for After Sales strategy, target and growth - Maintaining a pipeline by customer by quarter

  • Responsibility for After Sales order intake, revenues and EBIT of the service area

  • Supporting main component planner on main component demands from non-contractual customers.

  • End to end management of service agreement renewals for existing wind farms (including tendering, negotiation of T&C, cost analysis and pricing, and managing internal gate process).

  • Building strategy to reactivate lost accounts.

  • Responsibility for collecting any overdue service payments.

  • Processing of billable service works in a complete and timely manner.

  • Supporting Local Operations Manager & Area Service Manager with operational customer complaints.

  • Management of new contract reviews for newly signed maintenance and service agreements

    The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a technical sales or account management function, ideally within the wind or renewables sector although we will consider candidates from similar industries. You will also be educated to degree level or equivalent


  • You will have experience of working in a similar role with experience of dealing with sales or service contracts and working to challenging sales targets. You will also be confident in dealing with internal and external customers and if you have experience of formal sales tenders, that would be an advantage.

    It is essential to this role that the postholder is proficient in MS Office Suite including SharePoint and ideally would you have experience of using SAP or a similar tool

    It is also essential that the successful candidate has an understanding and awareness of engineering principles and an understanding of basic UK and Irish legal framework & commercial / contractual law.

  • There will also be a need to travel to other offices and customer sites on an ad hoc basis which will require nights away from home.
