Full Job Description

In the Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our mission is to reduce harm to our communities. We're on a journey to use the latest advances in AI and Machine Learning to enhance the Group's capability to prevent, detect and respond to Economic Crime. The Platform sits within Consumer Relationships and plays a critical role in providing services across the whole Group. This role will help deliver initial User cases running on GCP and OCP.

What you'll do

  • Work in a team supporting incident, problem and change across several applications within the platform.

  • Quickly get to the heart of business problems, cut through complexity, and collaborate constructively with key stakeholders.

  • Contribute towards planning the strategy for the Service Team.

  • Share Training Plans and upskill others within the team on the new solutions.

  • Create, review and retain documentation to run service.

  • Identify trends and support in adding service blockers onto the Lab backlogs.

  • Look for ways to continuously improve our ways of working.

  • Drive post incident improvements.

    Experience across all ITIL disciplines.

  • Enthusiasm and to be Customer driven, with a strong desire to ensure our customers are provided with the best possible experience.

  • To communicate effectively and can build working relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from software engineers to senior business leaders.

  • Comfortable with challenging stakeholders and can explain technical and complex scenarios in everyday terms.

  • Capable of operating in a highly pressurised environment and can remain calm in situations whilst maintaining focus.

  • Has an appetite to continuously improve.

  • Is innovative and takes an interest in industry best practices.

  • Can analyse incident data and explore patterns to help mitigate risks.


  • It would be great if you also had
  • Knowledge of modern software development toolsets including Cloud platforms Containers, Kubernetes, API's.

  • Experience in working with ServiceNow, Dynatrace and Splunk.

  • Experience in hands-on Service engineering using a broad range of technologies including those listed below.

  • Microservices

  • Java

  • Unix / Storm/ Spark

  • Powershell

  • Python

  • IBM zSeries Mainframe
