An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Service Manager to join our Security Services on a permanent basis.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

Our Security team are the main provider of security services to all GCC and ALEO's premises across Glasgow. Our services are provided to over five hundred properties, including schools, libraries, museums, art galleries, community facilities and sports venues.

The security services we provide include mobile response teams who can provide regular, unplanned, or intelligence-led patrols throughout the day or night. We also provide static guards to protect individual properties, key holding and incident response services to alarm activations and the team can also undertake security site surveys. The Service Manager role involves developing and managing staff, along with overseeing the day-to-day operations of Security Services to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service in line with the ethos, values, protocols, and service standards of the Council.

Please note, as part of pre-employment checks the successful candidate will require to undergo BS7858 Security Screening. This will involve a 5 or 10-year career history check, a financial probity check and criminal record screening. This will be completed in addition to the Council’s own standard pre-employment checks, which will be detailed to the successful candidate(s) following interviews.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 35

Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Annual Salary: £41,304.05 - £47,408.34 on an incremental scale
