Full Job Description

Peace Recruitment are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to contribute to a significant renewables project in the Wick, Scotland. As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of civil engineering works, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site surveys, setting out, and measurement activities to ensure accurate implementation of engineering designs.
  • Monitor and manage site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other member of the site team to resolve technical issues and optimize project performance.
  • Implement robust health, safety, and environmental practices, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, contributing to the development of junior engineers and operatives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization, driving efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally within the renewables sector.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and industry-standard software packages.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS).
  • Flexibility to work in remote locations and adapt to challenging weather conditions.
  • Valid driving license.
