What is the role?

South Ayrshire is situated in a beautiful location in Scotland with easy access to road and rail networks. Our diverse area includes the towns of Ayr, Girvan, Maybole, Prestwick and Troon as well as small rural villages, coastline and farmland. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in school leadership and improving outcomes for children, combined with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead both Barr and Barrhill primaries as a shared headship. Both schools are non-denominational and are situated in the Girvan and South Carrick area of the authority. Barr Primary has a roll of around 32 and Barrhill Primary has a roll of 31 including the Early Years Centre. Both schools are part of the Girvan Academy cluster. The schools have a culture of ambition, high expectations and achievement for all children.

The Grade of this post is HT4 with an annual salary of £66,072.
