Job Description

Place – Housing and Homelessness

Shared Repairs and Low Rise Asset Management Manager
Waverley Court

Salary: £62,685 - £74,858
Hours: 36 per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual to join the Area Based Regeneration and Shared Repairs Service.

The successful applicant will lead the operational management of the Edinburgh Shared Repairs Service and lead and develop the Low Rise Block Asset Management Service for the Council’s low-rise housing stock across the city.

We are looking for someone who has knowledge and an understanding of housing, property and construction services. You should be confident in making strategic decisions which will have an impact on owners and tenants across the city and have strong communication skills with experience of managing large and complex contracts, application of programme and project management and planning and managing revenue and capital budgets.

If you are someone who enjoys new opportunities and have strong leadership skills demonstrating our behaviours – respect, integrity and flexibility as well as extensive experience of creating a high performing culture, driving change and service delivery, we would love to hear from you.

If you have any questions or want to know more about the role, please contact Jackie.timmons@edinburgh.gov.uk for more information.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours – The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
