Information Services Group

Full-time: 35 hours per week

The Opportunity

The University’s Information Services Group is looking for a SharePoint Specialist with excellent skills and experience with SharePoint Online and related applications to join our small and friendly SharePoint Solutions Team. The successful candidate will provide technical and practical advice, guidance, and support to academic and professional services staff on the use and development of SharePoint and Power Platform applications.


This permanent position offers a salary range of £39,347-£46,974 and has a hybrid-working pattern. The post holder is expected to work in the office, in Edinburgh, at least one day per week. 


Ideally, we would like the SharePoint Specialist to work full-time (35hrs per week). However, we are committed to offering flexibility so would be happy to consider part-time hours or other flexible working options, i.e., compressed hours.

What the job involves:

·        Provide advice and consultancy to support our users across the University and advise users on best practice. 

·        Service support and delivery: anticipate, identify and investigate potential issues that could impact the service.

·        Call queue management: dealing with active requests and incidents relating to the service.

·        Documentation and user engagement

A bit about you:

·        You will have substantial knowledge of SharePoint online and related applications (i.e. Power Platform Apps) and a strong understanding of the platform capabilities.

·        Good technical knowledge of Microsoft tenancy administration.

·        Excellent customer service and customer facing skills.
