Full Job Description

Guala Closures are a global leader in the production of closures for spirits, wine, edible oil, water and a wide range of other beverages.

An opportunity has arisen for an SHE Administrator to oversee and deliver safe operations, coordinating and directing the activities of the team to ensure quality products are delivered on time through consistent, high performance.

The Role

While the role is primarily based at Bridge of Allan, it might require some travel to our other Kirkintilloch sites before we move to Gartcosh early 2025.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who can manage multiple priorities. It is essential that you have a keen attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Role-model expected Health & Safety behaviours and championing health and safety on site
  • Promote hazard and near miss reporting on site and lead feedback and improvement activities
  • Manage and co-ordinate Health Surveillance within the business
  • Undertake stock checks of personnel protective equipment and signage
  • Ensure that the site fire extinguishers are commissioned annually
  • Support Health and Safety Training initiatives, identify training needs and deliver training solutions as required e.g., manual handling, safety briefings etc
  • Identify short comings in policies, procedures, systems and ensure legal compliance - identify and implement remedial action to address issues
  • Produce reports as required to present status, issues and areas of risk, improvements etc
  • Maintain Health & Safety systems to ensure accurate compliance record keeping
  • Monitor and analyse site safety performance ready for communications
  • Support Health and Safety Manager in developing key policies in line with HR
  • Support the SHE team with creating policies, procedures and training material
