Health & Safety Advisor Opportunity in Glasgow

Are you experienced in leading a team to ensure the highest standards of health and safety? Contract Scotland is offering an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected regional civil engineering and multi-utility contractor as a Health & Safety Advisor based in Glasgow.

Company Overview:

Our client has a solid reputation for delivering high-quality civil engineering and utility contracts for both public and private sector clients across Glasgow. With recent successes in securing new projects, they are looking to expand their team with a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced teams to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Standards: Develop, implement, and maintain all necessary standards and requirements.
  • CDM Regulations Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Site Oversight: Monitor site activities, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
  • Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Compliance Reports: Compile and complete reports and documentation related to compliance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Report regularly to site management and clients regarding safety activities.
  • KPI Management: Monitor and manage key performance indicators related to health and safety.
  • Client Collaboration: Work proactively with client counterparts to deliver projects to specification.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the civil engineering or utility sector is essential.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH or IOSH certification is required.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong experience working with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is mandatory.
