Full Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will undertake pre-planned maintenance tasks, repair, and refurbishment work within various client properties.



Job Description


You will provide planned, reactive, and installation support to the small works team as directed.

While you will have an electrical trade bias, you will also be expected to perform general building duties outside of this specialisation as needed, considering task competency.

The basic working week consists of 40 hours, Monday to Friday, with shifts rotating weekly between 0700 – 1600 hours, 0800 – 1700 hours, and 1000 – 1900 hours.

Travel outside of a reasonable area from your home address may be required, and travel time will be claimed accordingly with prior management approval.

Key Responsibilities


  • Planned and reactive building maintenance whether specialised or general as directed and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Installation works associated with building maintenance again whether general or in line with specialist bias
  • Completion of maintenance and reactive job sheets, as issued and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Weekly time sheet and service report sheet submission to the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor for all PPM and reactive works done during a given period
  • General building services works as necessary on any site designated by the Engineering Helpdesk/Coordinator/Supervisor
  • Completion of all log books, service report sheets as required per site
  • Report any defects found during maintenance or service attendance
  • Health & safety compliance including appropriate use of Personnel Protective Equipment in carrying out your duties


Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications


  • Trade qualification, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship., NVQ 2 (6017) or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • Proven track record showing competency around LV Electrical Systems
  • Experience of building services, with operation of PPM systems
  • Experience on electrical installations
