Full Job Description

  • Report to Plasma Lead Mechanic / Component Repair Cell Leader.
  • Work with SPO to standardise and improve process.
  • Interpret where to mask components prior to Shot Peen.
  • Operate and program CNC/PLC Shot Peen Machines.
  • Develop Saturation Curves and Process Parameters.
  • Operate Flapper Peening equipment as required by ESM/SPM

    Flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to a challenging and changing environment.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude to learning Shot Peening processes.
  • Previous experience of shot peening would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledge of operating CNC/PLC machines would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required.
  • Awareness of production requirements within Component Repair.

    All duties shall be performed in a safe manner in accordance with GE EH&S policy and procedures.

  • All staff are expected to carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by supervisor/management.
