Full Job Description

As our next Site Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving the successful completion of projects. The Site Manager will be responsible for safe delivery of the project whilst achieving commercial expectations. A key part of the role will be establishing a strong relationship with Scottish Water and their Stakeholders at Site and Project level. You will be part of our Operations Team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our wastewater and water infrastructure and civil engineering projects. To excel in this role, you'll need to be an effective communicator with the ability to influence others. Working with a team of skilled professionals, you'll be responsible for the day to day activities related to project delivery. The role requires an individual who is dedicated to ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all aspects of the project. As a Site Manager, you will be accountable for the successful management of site teams and ensuring compliance with company policies. Your remit is to manage subcontractor packages of work and oversee the efficient delivery of materials and labour in accordance with the construction programme. Additionally, you will need to develop strong relationships with the office team and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Civil engineering degree or similar qualification
  • Management experience within the construction and water industry
  • A full and valid UK driving licence
  • SHEA Water - preferred
  • Appropriate level of IT skills

    The MWS Scotland region currently delivers a number of frameworks for Scottish Water, including the Infrastructure Capital programme and the MEICA replacement operational alliance DV2 Lot 4 (this role). In addition, IDS deliver further specialist frameworks for Scottish Water as well for a portfolio of non-regulated clients. The business is currently at c. £130m p.a with further growth planned. The DV2 Lot 4 MEICA replacement framework is a 6-year programme (2021-2027) with an option to extend for a further 6 years. The contract delivers a diverse range of design & construction projects (£100k - £4m) including the replacement of MEICA equipment, associated civil engineering works, specialist control & automation, SCADA and telemetry works. Annual volume £25m-£40m.,
