Freelance Site Engineer – Immediate Start – Kelso, Scotland
Location: Kelso, Scottish Borders
Contract Length: 12 months

Rate: £300 per day

Our client, a reputable and well-established civil engineering contractor, is urgently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join their team on a major substation project in Kelso, Scotland.

️ Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate setting out for all civil works on site

• Conducting and overseeing QA procedures and maintaining all necessary records

• Providing guidance and support to a junior engineer, helping to develop their technical and on-site skills

✅ Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects (ideally substations or energy sector)

• Proficient with setting out equipment (e.g. GPS, Total Station)

• Strong understanding of QA procedures and documentation

• Ability to mentor and work collaboratively with junior staff

• CSCS card
