Site Engineer / Sub-Agent

Specialising in public realm works, we enhance environments across Glasgow with projects including excavation, drainage, ducting, kerbing, natural stone paving, and carriageway surfacing.

With a commitment to quality and precision, we collaborate with sub-contractors for road marking, traffic management, and street lighting to ensure seamless project execution.

We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer/Sub-Agent to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys and setting-out tasks to ensure accurate project execution.
• Maintain a daily site diary and comprehensive site records.
• Provide operational management support to the Contracts Manager on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee quality control measures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate labour resources and manage procurement of plant and materials.
• Implement and maintain integrated management systems, including works inspections, setting-out control sheets, and calibration and testing records for instruments.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a site engineer
• Competence in setting-out with various setting-out equipment
• Civil Engineering qualification (HND/C or Degree)
• Experience in public realm works an advantage although not essential
• SMSTS preferable
• Valid CSCS card
