Job Opportunity: Site Manager at a Regional Civil Engineering Contractor

Location: Central Scotland

Our client, a prominent regional civil engineering contractor, is seeking to expand their team by appointing an experienced Site Manager on a permanent basis. This role involves managing teams on various civil infrastructure projects, including groundworks for commercial and residential developments. If you are a seasoned Site Manager or an experience General Foreman with site management experience working on groundworks, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor known for a supportive and friendly working environment.

About the Role

As a Site Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet all safety, budget, and client specifications. The projects range from smaller public works to larger housing schemes, schools, and community centres across the east of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Ensure contracts are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships both on-site and off-site.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to company safety procedures.
  • Safety Audits: Conduct Safety Audits as required by line management.
  • HSEQ Management: Oversee Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards on-site.

Requirements

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager with previous civil engineering experience particularly delivering groundworks projects is essential.  Experience working on kerbing, hard landscaping and drainage is essential.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health and safety policies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • Certifications: Valid CSCS card.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is mandatory.
