Full Job Description

To be responsible for the management and delivery of the soft services at the Barrowfield Training Ground. 

Catering, cleaning and soft services maintenance are all part of this role .This role also requires a level of financial knowledge on payroll submissions and budgeting, colleague management and development, recruitment, raising of purchase orders in advance of purchasing goods and services.


Key accountabilities will include:

 

  • The accurate administration and submission of the payroll weekly and monthly for all colleagues under your remit
  • Ensure catering colleagues deliver the highest level of customer service at all times, using effective coaching, leadership and communication at all times
  • Actively encourage good safeguarding practices
  • Proactive management of budgets for labour, supplies , equipment and other operating costs
  • Ensure all new colleagues are properly trained and developed in their role
  • Manage and set KPI objectives for all colleagues that will drive standards and develop work practices.
  • Liaise with external providers to ensure all waste streams are removed from The Barrowfield Training Ground in a timely manner
  • Ensure all colleagues have completed training in the following courses, COSHH, food safety level 2, Health and Safety, waste management streams and safeguarding
  • Monitor inventory levels and order additional supplies as needed
  • Management of cleaning stock and equipment ensuring monthly audits are completed and submitted
  • Establish and enforcing policies regarding workplace safety, security and hygiene procedures
  • Ensure all colleagues wear the appropriate PPE and acknowledging the weather conditions they may face if asked to complete outdoor works
  • Manage all colleagues holiday entitlement and absence records
  • Attend meetings monthly with GM Soft Services presenting reports on operational challenges and successes
  • Complete colleague performance reviews and set objectives that develop and encourage them personally
  • Ensure catering services within the dining room are delivered following the guidance provided with the SLA document
  • Liaise with Catering Manager on the daily delivery and uplift schedule for the catering provision between the Barrowfield Training Ground and Celtic Park
  • Liaise with football management on a daily basis, looking at all aspects of the operation to ensure the facility is managed in a secure , safe , clean and professional manner
  • Actively build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across the Training Centre and across the club, ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted at all times
  • Submit weekly maintenance reports to Facilities Manager

  • Work with the General Manager Soft Services to improve the level of services provided by this department
  • Work with the General Manager Soft Services to develop clear financial reporting and accountability for this department
