Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an Operations Manager to provide professional support to a team of various qualified and unqualified professionals including Occupational Therapy and Sensory Impairment workers. We would welcome applications from HPC registered Occupational Therapists who have proven experience in occupational therapy in a social work setting together with management experience and an understanding of local authority management processes and procedures.

You will be responsible to the local Fieldwork Manager (Adults and Older People) and work as part of a management team within the East Kilbride area seeking to provide effective and efficient service to all residents with particular focus on the needs of those who have disabilities through re-ablement and the provision of Equipment and Adaptation services. You will provide professional support to your team as well as managing and reporting on performance and local budgets. You will also work closely with NHS colleagues in developing and improving joint working in the locality.

You should have a broad awareness of the factors impacting on the delivery of Occupational Therapy services nationally and be prepared to provide leadership and support to the team during the period of transition associated with integration and an MDT approach to delivering services.

You should be a qualified Occupational Therapist and be a member of the Health Professions Council.
