Jackton Primary School opened in August 2023 and has 17 classrooms, a gym hall, a general-purpose area, separate dining hall and an outdoor floodlit pitch. Jackton can accommodate up to 510 pupils and has 4 ASN classrooms to accommodate up to 32 children depending on need and complexity. We are a non-denominational school with a projected roll of 130 pupils for next session. We are proud to be part of the Calderglen Learning Community and we embrace opportunities to work in partnership with schools within and beyond our learning community.

At Jackton Primary, we provide a welcoming, happy, safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment, where every learner is given the necessary support to thrive. We are committed to creating inclusive learning spaces which inspire a lifelong love of learning. We believe that all children are unique, and each child has differing abilities and educational needs. We set high standards and expectations in everything we do and constantly strive to raise standards. Through effective collaboration with other educators, families, specialists, external agencies and community partners, we aim to create tailored support systems that empower each learner to overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Our strong school ethos is underpinned by our core SPARKLE values: Support, Perseverance, Ambition, Respect, Kindness, Leadership and Equality. We celebrate and recognise pupils who consistently demonstrate our values through our Jackton Gem Award.

We are committed to amplifying children's voices through creative and playful research methods.
