Full Job Description

Peace Recruitment's client are a prominent main contractor in the construction industry, known for delivering high-quality projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Small Works Manager to join their team in Dundee. This role will be critical in managing small to medium-sized projects efficiently, maintaining high standards, and delivering exceptional results for their clients.


Role Overview:

The Small Works Manager will oversee multiple small projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. This is a key role within the team, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure a seamless project delivery process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of small to medium-sized construction projects from inception through to completion.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and materials to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee site operations to ensure health and safety compliance and high standards of work.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely completion of work.
  • Monitor project budgets and control costs, providing regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise on site promptly and effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a main contracting or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, budgeting, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are advantageous.
