Full Job Description

Senior Talent & Development Advisor

12 month FTC (potential to be made perm) 

Edinburgh with hybrid working 

Circa £40,000

Iconic Resourcing HR are delighted to be working with a top organisation based in Edinburgh who are looking to appoint a Senior Talent & Development Advisor to cover a period of maternity cover however this does have the potential to be made permanent thereafter. The postholder will play a key part in delivering the Talent & Development strategy across the organisation. You will be joining a small team apart of a large function as well as joining the team at a time of planning. 

You will typically be onsite 2 days per week. 

Day to day you will be: 

  • Analysing talent and development data to evaluate attendance, course completion rates, resource utilisation and the effectiveness of development interventions as well as assessing the impact and ensuring value for money / return on investment.
  • Manage workflow of development requests, and co-ordinate the delivery of day-to-day activities, projects, and cyclical activities.
  • Working with the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager, preparing & monitor of the talent and development budget.
  • Increase awareness of and engagement with the talent development offering through managing our online presence, internal communications, and development calendar.
  • Keep updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in talent development to identify and propose implementing   

Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience within a Talent Development or L&D role
  • Specific experience in Leadership development and management training
  • Coaching experience 
  • Passionate, Driven and Ambitious 
  • Confident in handling tough conversations
  • The ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
