Full Job Description

Based in Mackinnon Centre, you will work part time, 35 hours per week., You will be expected to actively participate as part of a team supporting service users to achieve their personal outcomes.

You will have 3 National 4s or equivalent. You will have a SVQ Level 2 in Care, or the ability to obtain this., You will be able to demonstrate the ability to use your initiative and work confidently in order to ensure service users are fully supported. Duties will also involve the provision of personal care, encouraging independence and administering medication and supporting choice and dignity at all times. This range of duties is aimed at creating a supportive and relaxed atmosphere where service users can achieve maximum independence.

You will also be required to work in other parts of the service if required, including older peoples care homes and day services.

The Individual

You will have experience in the caring field and experience of moving and handling.

You will have good communication skills both written and verbal, have proven ability to work as part of a team, be flexible and use your initiative.

You will be required to do shift and weekend work, be available to work at short notice, be able to work away from home at night., Disability Confident
