Full Job Description

Cunningham House is a Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership Resource Centre situated in Grangemouth. Traditionally, we were a 24-hour care home providing quality care to older adults living with Dementia. Since 2023, we now provide support to adults requiring Reablement Focused Support alongside our current Resident Group.

Our purpose is to not only continue providing specialist care for older people with Dementia in a safe, homely environment but to also enhance the support experienced by individuals needing Rehab to live independent lives, with the primary focus on integration back into the community.

We have a well-established team who place those we support at the heart of everything we do, and we promote a calm and homely environment for the people who live here and use the service.

You must have knowledge and experience of care practice in meeting the needs of adults and have an understanding also of Dementia and Rehabilitation. You must be able to demonstrate skills in assessment and accurate record keeping and care planning. You need to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and have a flexible and positive approach. The ability to work as part of a team and using your own initiative is essential.

You must register with the SSSC as a Practitioner in care home services for adults within 6 months and meet the conditions of your registration within three years. A Social Care (SVQ Level III) qualification together with Moving and Handling training would be desirable.

You will work 37 hours per week on a rota basis including backshifts and weekends.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
