We shall continue to build on our GIRFEC strengths, while we also fully embrace the transformational change in all calls for action to achieve the fundamentals of the Promise, which will be at the heart of everything we do. We are investing in our children's services to provide the rocket fuel to get from talk to action. We want strong social work practice to flourish in the Highlands and this means that we are serious in recognising that best practice is our most powerful tool and top priority. We recognise the importance of the learning journey, reflective supervision, encouraging you to be part of communities of practice, and promoting your professional development within our Family Teams.

As a bottom line, we know that you must have the time to build kind and compassionate relationships with those children and families whose lives you touch and so we must create the space to enable the relational direct work you came into social work to do. We agree with the Promise, knowing that we must collectively 'hold the hands of those who hold the hand of the child'.

We take your social work journey seriously and we want to attract a diverse range of social workers who share our passion and ambitions to fulfil Highlands Promise. Additionally, you also get to live and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK! If all of that is for you, we would love to hear from you.
