Extra Information:

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10; the hourly rate is from £23.07 to £24.26 and the annual salary is from £42,103 to £44,274.

Working within our Initial Response Team, you will be part of a team of workers managing all new referrals into the Children and Families Social Work Service. With support and oversight of the Team Leader, your role will primarily centre around screening new referrals, making initial inquiries with children, families and partner agencies in offering follow up advice, support, assessment and planning as determined.

Applicants should preferably have experience of working within a Children and Families Social Work setting and be experienced to a level in which they are able to lead on and undertake child protection investigations. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidates will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal Offer of Employment being made.  If you wish further information on the PVG Scheme you can visit the Disclosure Scotland website at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.
