Full Job Description

Working in a Hybrid Style, working in various locations and at home, full time 37 hrs per week., You will provide an effective high quality social work service to the people of Dundee. To be part of the First Contact Team (Adult Care and Older Peoples Intake service), which is the first point of contact for the public and referring agencies to the Health and Social Care Partnership for individuals aged 16+.

You will take referral telephone calls, to undertake assessments, visits and interviews and to be the designated council officer for all new Adult Support and Protection inquiries into the Health and Social Care Partnership.

You will have a degree in Social Work, Dip SW / CQSW / CSS (with appropriate option)., You will have significant experience in Community Care and Adult Support and Protection work, Community Care Case holding experience and experience of multi-agency collaborative work with other agencies.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively with service users and carers, to undertake initial assessments, work to tight timescales, prioritise competing demands, relate positively with colleagues, in SW and other agencies. You will be a creative thinker with the ability to consider different resource options.

You will have the availability to work beyond normal hours when needs of service users demand this.

You will have the ability to register with Scottish Social Services Council within specified timescale., Disability Confident
