The Post:
The Central Legal Office (CLO) is part of NHS National Services Scotland. CLO provides legal services to the NHS in Scotland and to the wider public sector.
This post is an exciting opportunity to join the Litigation Department, and to work in a team that delivers a comprehensive litigation service to the NHS in Scotland. The Department is looking for a solicitor to join one of our busy litigation teams to spend 50% of their working time as a Data Protection advisor/lead, and 50% as a litigation lawyer.
The Candidate:
You will have an interesting and diverse workload and enjoy all aspects of contentious and non-contentious legal work. You will be a team player and enjoy working in a supportive collegiate environment. The posts would be suitable for qualified solicitors with some post-qualifying experience. Some experience in data protection work is a pre-requisite.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh.
Currently hybrid working
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
