Solicitor - Insurance Recoveries

On a daily basis this will include:

• Ensuring that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.


• Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles and case law.


• Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.


• Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices


• Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally


• Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices.

DWF LLP is seeking to recruit a Solicitor with experience in motor recovery litigation to join the nationally recognised insurance team, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The role will involve pursuing recovery action for property damage including repair outlays and hire charges for several household name insurers. There will be a significant amount of exposure to appearance work including proofs. The successful applicant will also be involved in the operational management of the team to include supervision of junior fee earners.

We will consider applications from candidates who have some post-qualification experience of handling recovery litigation within a busy commercial environment. We are seeking team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
