Full Job Description

Job Title: Solution Architect

Contract Type: Permanent

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 18th September 2024

We are recruiting for an exciting role as a Solution Architect. This role will play a pivotal role in contributing to the delivery of the Royal London strategy and technical design, aligned to our architectural road maps across selected key domains for Royal London Group Architecture.

This role will support the Principal Architect to deliver large scale programmes of work across multiple technology domain architecture landscapes and will support the delivery of End2End architecture projects including Service Resilience and Operating Model changes. You will lead architecture engagement within specific projects and may be delegate to the principal in various committees.

-You will contribute to the development of the major technology strategies for the group, bringing specific technical competencies and knowledge ensuring these are carefully reviewed through governing bodies and are then used to both inform executive committees and business leaders and underpin major programme design governance.
-Be responsible for defining, influencing, and ensuring adherence to the strategic design principles and governance framework.
-Completion and socialisation of technical solution documentation using pre-defined templates.

-You understand that your soft skills are as important as your technical skills. You will have the ability to communicate and influence to achieve support for your designs.
-You will also have strong technical design and enterprise-wide architecture understanding and skills.
-You will have hands on experience in delivering End2End designs and cost-effective, innovative, and maintainable enterprise application solutions.
-In depth and current knowledge of one or more common application technology stacks (e.g., Microsoft .NET application technology stack).
-Ability to plan and think strategically on how technology with evolve and how what is delivered will fit into the overall strategy.
-Capability to develop presentations for executive and senior level committees. As well as strong influencing and communication skills.
-Strong desire to collaborate with colleagues across different architecture domains to achieve solutions considering all viewpoints.
