Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and highly organisedSOUS CHEFto assist with the day to day running of the Kitchen Team, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service. Key responsibilities will be to assist the Head Chef with all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking and presentation; assisting with the supervision and training of the Kitchen Team, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards; helping to oversee inventory management, including stockordering and rotation, managing cost control measures to optimise profitability; plus deputising in the Head Chefs absence, including organising staff rotas to ensure efficient staffing levels.

If you have a passion for working with local, sustainably sourced produce and a desire to provide an excellent customer experience, then we would like to hear from you., You will need to have strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team, be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen, whilst maintaining attention to detail, as well as having excellent food presentation skills, plus a knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, together with strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Experience in a similar environment working with fish and seafood, plus a HNC level qualification or experience would be beneficial.

  • SALARY:From £32,000 to £40,000 per annuminclusive of tips(full time / pro-rata for part time).

  • CONTRACT TYPE:Permanent.

  • CONTRACT HOURS:Full time or part time hours available.

  • WORK SHIFTS:Between Monday to Sunday. No split shifts and no late shifts (the restaurant closes around 5:00pm).

  • OTHER INFO:Due to our location and the work shifts, your own transport would be beneficial. Subsidised travel - conditions apply, depending on travel distance and cost.Car share / transport may be available.
