SPECIALIST CLINICAL PHARMACIST BAND 8a

Oncology and Haematology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacist to join the expanding Haematology and Oncology Pharmacy team in NHS Tayside.

We are a well established clinical team of pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy support workers, providing pharmaceutical services to patients attending the Oncology and Haematology units in Ninewells and Perth Royal Infirmary. This includes inpatient and outpatient services and clinical trials. You will be expected to support the team in delivering and further developing highly specialised care to this group of patients.

This is a challenging but rewarding environment to practice pharmacy.

You will be supported to develop your Independent Prescribing skills and to work at an advanced level of practice.

Candidates must have a post graduate diploma/MSc, be an independent prescriber (or willing to work towards this) and on the practicing register of the General Pharmaceutical Council. Experience of Oncology and Haematology is desirable but not essential.

The post holder will be required to contribute to the on-call, weekend and public holiday rotas as per service requirements.

Hours of work are:  37 Hours worked over a 7 day week.

Part-time hours and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
