Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Specialist Physiotherapist at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

Ward 1 is a purpose built rehabilitation ward with a proactive MDT and a strong rehab ethos. Ward 1 is bright and airy with access to outdoor spaces, single patient rooms and a designated therapy area with parallel bars, therapy plinth, stairs and rehabilitation equipment.

You will also have the opportunity to work with adults who have undergone lower limb amputation while being supported by our specialist amputee rehab physiotherapists. You will be passionate about supporting your patients to live as active and independent lives as possible and to achieve their goals.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will have a special interest and relevant clinical experience in frailty, falls and rehabilitation. You will have experience working in a rehab setting working alongside people recovering from a period of illness and/or orthopaedic surgeries or injuries. 

You will be your excellent communication, interpersonal, motivational and rehab skills. Active participation in in-service training and a contribution to service improvement is expected and encouraged, with a key focus being to optimise the patient journey from an acute setting to rehab to discharge.

Hours:

22.3 per week.

Days and hours of work negotiable.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
