Full Job Description

Department: Older Adult Psychiatry - Glasgow      

Location:      Glenkirk Centre, NW Glasgow

All applicants must possess full GMC registration, a licence to practice, with at least 4 Years full time Post Graduate Training, two of which must have been in relevant specialties or you will demonstrate and evidence equivalent experience and competencies. For Speciality doctor posts, there      is also an expectation that candidates have completed Day 1 and Day 2 of Section 22 Training prior to taking up the post. For those interested, opportunities for CESR is encouraged and is supported by GG&C Board.

We invite applicants to apply for this Older Adult 3 sessions Specialty Doctor post. The job will be based with the North West Glasgow HSCP within the Glenkirk Resource Centre, Drumchapel, Glasgow.

The clinical work will include supporting Older Adult Consultant psychiatrist with community based work. There is regular CPD in the form of Internal teaching for North West Glasgow. The post holder will also be invited to attend the West of Scotland sessional teaching for Old Age Psychiatry and the CPD events which are organised regularly via University of Glasgow CPD Lead. Audit and quality improvement projects / local governance is strongly encouraged and supported.

All applicants must possess full GMC registration, a licence to practice, shall with at least 4 Years full time Post Graduate Training, two of which must be in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT); or you will demonstrate and evidence equivalent experience and competencies.
