Full Job Description

Applications are invited for this 6-session Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry post based in Stobhill Hospitals Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit, Portree Ward. There is a well-developed and innovative multi-disciplinary team, including consultant psychiatrist, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. You would be involved in the assessment and management of patients from who need to be managed within an IPCU environment within the multidisciplinary team. The role includes regular mental health and criminal procedures act work as well as court reports.
The post-holder will have, or will achieve, Approved Medical Practitioner status in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.

All applicants must possess full GMC registration, a licence to practice, shall with at least 4 Years full time Post Graduate Training, two of which must be in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT); or you will demonstrate and evidence equivalent experience and competencies.
