Full Job Description
Our client is a specialist supplier of facade systems, brick tie channel systems and fasteners into the construction and civil industry. Our clients' products are specified through Architects and Consulting Engineers, pulled through the contractors and then back sold through their distributors. Working to gain and break specification of brick tie systems and promote our clients' products. Our client's growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted our client is now looking to expand their operations in the UK by the recruitment of this Specification lead sales role.
The Role
This is a fundamental role in the company's business strategy and requires an individual of a strong construction technical nature. Gaining specification and pulling the business through the contractors and distributors. The role will operate throughout the UK with some minimal European travel, you will be responsible for the extensive existing accounts our client has in the area as well as being challenged with the development of new business opportunities in the area through product specification. You will work autonomously in the office and field environments developing the company's ongoing business strategy and control of their already strong market share in the area and you will play an integral part in the company's development. As well as the standard products our client wishes applicants to at all times look to extend their customers knowledge of the extensive total product range that they are able to supply, selling for a company with a well-known brand name and looking to
give added value to their customers.
Suitable applicants must be able to show strong specification sales experience of the above markets and be looking for a challenging new role. Specification Sales experience is required however applicants must also have experience of dealing at a construction technical level and must enjoy the technical challenges this role provides. The key to this role is a construction product sales background, building envelope and façade exposure. Technical product supply and the ability to gain specifications, break specifications, work to maintain the specification through the contractor before setting up product supply through distributors. The successful applicant will be a dynamic addition that will demonstrate an active business awareness of the potential and importance of this role.
