To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

Fixed Term/Seconment  Speech & Language Therapist, Band 5 (31 hours) or Band 6 (26 hours)

An opportunity has arisen due to Maternity Leave for a 12 month contract for either a Band 5 or Band 6.   The roles and responsibilities will be adjusted according to       experience of the successful candidate and are reflected in the respective job descriptions and person specification.

You will work within the Childrens Speech and Language Therapy service to support children with a wide range of speech, language and communication problems including those with formal Additional Support for Learning plans.  You will be based in Angus but will be required to work flexibly across NHS Tayside in schools and community settings as well as in health settings. The work is wide ranging and includes joint work with partners in other agencies. You will join a supportive team where professional development is supported and encouraged. All newly qualified therapists are supported through a thorough induction programme to complete the Flying Start programme and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist newly qualified practitioner goals.

You must be registered on the HCPC Register

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.

Short-listed applicants will be contacted by email.   Please check your emails regularly.
