Staff Nurse

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking staff nurse to work within our eye day case unit at the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC). Ophthalmology experience is preferential, but training could be provided if required.

The NTC-H is a new purpose-built centre which provides care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. The Centre is located at the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.

The eye day case unit comprises of 3 theatres specialising in cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic and vitreoretinal surgery. Orthopaedic day case hand and foot procedures are also performed two days per week.

The role would involve admission & discharge of patients and administering medication under PGD. The eye day case unit is a fast-paced environment with a high turnover of patients. We are looking for a nurse to compliment the existing team and visits to the department are welcome.
