An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
As a registered General Nurse working within the renal unit setting you will gain experience in all aspects of caring for a chronic renal patient and carrying out their renal replacement therapy.
Good manual dexterity is essential as the successful candidate will be inserting dialysis needles and working with permanent lines and setting up dialysis machines.
The renal unit offers a commitment to lifelong learning and the candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development through the education programme developed by the renal practice development nurse.
You have to be involved in research and development and maintaining best practice and need to be able to show evidence of personal development.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
- You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Working knowledge of Ayrshire and Arrans policies and Procedures.
- Ability to keep relevant skills / knowledge updated and documented.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to supervise and provide a mentorship role to students and junior staff.
- A commitment to lifelong learning and demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development.

37 hours per week - permanent
30 hours per week - permanent
36 hours per week - Fixed term until September 2025
