Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is 12 hour Shifts, day and night shift, seven day Service.

We have the opportunity for Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our enthusiastic forward thinking teams within the Immediate Assessment Unit, (IAU), in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. As part of this team you will have responsibility for assessment, delivery and supervision of all care needs within the acute receiving environment.

You will:

  • Possess sound clinical skills for the assessment of patient's needs, implementation and evaluation of care which is evidence based.
  • Have the ability to work to high clinical standards in this fast paced environment. 
  • Flexible, forward thinking
  • Able to work effectively within a changing and dynamic environment.

The successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills and decision making skills with evidence of ongoing professional development.

The shift pattern is rotational, flexible and family friendly with flexible working hours considered both full and part time.
