Full Job Description
The Silicon Integration Engineer will be responsible for shaping the design of circuitry, PCB, package, and silicon and ensuring that the complete solution is designed holistically. This person will report directly to the Director of Silicon Logical Design.,
- Maintaining the chip package pinout
- Working with Architecture, Silicon & Integrated Systems to develop the AI chip reference circuitry, layout and implementation requirements.
- Working with Architecture and Integrated Systems to optimize constraints on floorplan layout and pin placement.
- Working with Logical Design to optimize floorplan layout.
- Working with Physical Design to optimize floorplan layout and pin placement.
- Working with Physical design/Full-custom teams on chip power grid and supply requirements.
- Liaise with Integrated Systems engineers engaging and supporting on product PCB layout trials.
- Liaise with 3rd party substrate designers.
- Liaise with Full-custom team working on Package simulations.
- Liaise with and support integrated systems on thermal simulations.
- Liaise with 3rd party devboard PCB designers and Packaging providers.
- Develop and maintain Design guide.
- Support 3rd parties willing to design board level product around our chip.
We're looking for a profile that covers 70% of these professional experience items, in any combination: - Engineering degree in (micro) electronic design, computing architecture or physics, etc.
- Experience with the following types of tools: package design tools, schematic capture tools & circuit design tools.
- Experience in aligning multiple engineering departments in a medium to large scale company.
- Experience with PCIe cards and M.2 modules is a plus.
- Proficient in English, any other European languages are considered a plus.
