Full Job Description
- Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
- Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
- Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
- Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
- Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust's appointed person.
Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities. - Basic end user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT system.

Training and Working Pattern For the 12 week training program the hours will be Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm. Regular shift from 1 PM to 9 PM (Monday to Friday). Additionally, there will be a one-hour shift allowance paid at a rate of 20% for the time worked between 8 PM and 9 PM + availability for weekend/Bank Holiday cover., - An annual salary of £23,615.00 plus a 5% performance bonus, and generous shift allowances if you work overtime/unsociable hours! Plus, a higher cost of living allowance if you work in London.
