Job Title: Store Manager 

Location: Kirkcaldy

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £48,000, plus bonus

Hours of Work: Full-Time, weekends included on a rota-basis



The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting for a Store Manager, on behalf of Rejects Department Store

 

Rejects Department Store has been serving the Fife area for over 40 years, and is Fife's largest department store. We currently have 12 departments, and are totally committed to sourcing the most individual selection of merchandise for quality, value, individuality and inspiration. We have an exclusive opening for a Store Manager, for the first time in 18 years! 

 

What are we looking for?

As our Store Manager, you will lead by example, and inspire our retail colleagues to maximise sales, and deliver excellent customer service. You will be responsible for the training and development within the business, ensuring that retail colleagues are trained to the highest standards, utilising your experience and previous initiatives to get the best out of the team. In order to do that, we're looking for you to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a coaching management style, and being clear, open and honest, whilst having the ability to take corrective action, when necessary.


The successful candidate will have a passion for sales, and a positive, can-do attitude towards their role. With experience in retail management and a record of meeting targets, you will be career-focused and self-motivated to get the best from your team, with a good track record of running a significant retail operation and a strong profit motive. 


In our department store, we have a range of departments from gardening, through to a busy restaurant, therefore it is important to us that you have a flexible approach. Whilst experience of managing a garden centre and/or a busy restaurant would be advantageous, experience across a broad range of functions within retail combined with a solution focused mindset, would set you up for success.


To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to show your retail management experience by driving sales and improving the stores performance, consistently meeting key performance indicators.
