Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced store supervisor to join our dedicated stores catering team within the Victoria Hospital.

As Stores Supervisor you will be responsible for smooth day to day operations of the store department working closely with the stores team. You will be responsible for managing the team and ensuring accuracy in ordering supplies for patient's feeding, ward orders and retail. You will have excellent communication skills be able to motivate and progress your team. You will Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to maintain accurate records. You will be responsible for receipting, storage, and distribution of goods, enforcing inventory management procedures including cycle counts and stock rotation, coordinate purchasing with demand to ensure stock levels align with demand. Collaborate with other departments to ensure stock levels are at acceptable levels and waste is minimal. You will have an eye for detail to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the department all food safety, health and safety regulations are adhered to. 

A current food hygiene certificate will be required for this post and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of food safety systems including having a good understanding of the current allergen legislation. Computer competency and use of Pecos/ordering systems/Microsoft would be an advantage. This is a hands-on position which will involve manual handing and freezer work.

Please note the salary scale for this post is pro rata for part time hours.

Hours of work will be 5 days per week predominately Monday to Friday. However, there will be a requirement to work ad hoc weekends to maintain service levels and cover annual leave, therefore a degree of flexibility is essential within the hours of 6.00am 7.30pm
