Full Job Description
The post will involve providing 35 hours 5 days per week professional stores service on a 52 week basis. The hours are from 9am - 5pm (to be reviewed after 6 months and timings adjusted if service requirements are not met 10am - 6pm) this post will be paid at Stirling Council Grade 5.
- Good knowledge of Stores issuing / receipt processes.
- Awareness of safe distribution practices and manual handling.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures throughout the work place.
- Proficient in computerised business tools (MS Office such as Excel and Word).
- Good communication skills.
- Full Drivers licence.
- Inventory management experience
- Trained in purchasing system My Portal
- Experience of working within a warehouse/dispatch environment.
- PAT testing certificate Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided. Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items. and prepared to work alone. Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided. Applicants will also require a working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
