We are looking for two Strategic Change Partners to join the People Strategy, Systems and Insight team. You will play an influential role to drive the strategic people agenda across the business, both at a local level and enterprise wide. You'll work on a variety of different people focused programmes, aligned to our business and people strategy. This role is focused on adding value and you will work across HR and Communications to deliver change in a purposeful and colleague centric way. You will be accountable for delivering end to end outcomes, in an ever-changing internal and external landscape. This role sits on the HR and Communications extended leadership team and reports into the Head of People Strategy, Systems and Insight.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for the design, planning and delivery of short, medium, and long-term strategic programmes and initiatives, all aligned to the strategic direction of the Bank and our people strategy.

  • Translate strategic priorities into change objectives and translate internal and external data into insights to enable leadership teams to make informed decision.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to define the programme outcomes and create a colleague centric plan to bring outcomes to fruition. This includes setting expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, managing project risks and budget, and assigning team members to specific tasks.

  • Monitor the wider internal and external landscape and translate what this means for the programme and deliverables.

  • Be able to apply commercial and business acumen to ensure plans maximise commercial performance, drawing on your internal and external networks for insights.

  • Evaluate project performance, and track / report on the delivery of agreed outcomes, using data and KPIs. Captures key learns from each project and feeds back into wider portfolio.

  • Build constructive, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, encouraging a culture of iterative delivery, continuous learning, open communication and feedback.

  • Act as a visible and trusted change management expert, working in partnership with members of the leadership and extended leadership teams. You will leverage change model methodology and work hand in hand with wider HR teams.

  • Be confident to challenge the thinking of relevant stakeholders where plans are not aligned to our purpose or strategic agenda.

  • Set the pace and operating rhythm of the programmes. Proactively manage any deviations to plan and remove barriers that will inhibit progress.

  • Promote pace and energy within the team, coach and lead by example. Role model our purpose of making you happier about money, our values and behaviours and great leadership expectations.

    Commercial experience and solid business acumen.

  • Strong change management skills and track record of delivering large change from a people perspective, in large, regulated organisations.

  • Experience working on a variety of different people programmes, specifically M&A / Integration / colleague experience / regulatory / technology / organisational re-design.

  • Experience in partnering, advising, and coaching at a senior leader level.

  • Brilliant influencing, engagement and communication skills.

  • Excellent understanding of current and emerging HR best practices and legislation and how this can be leveraged.

  • Proven ability to balance strategic fit between people resources and initiatives, with overall business strategy and goals.

  • Ability to interpret workforce metrics and insights.


  • It's a bonus if you have but not essential
  • Professional qualification in a business or change management discipline with an HR focus.

  • Knowledge of financial services preferred but not essential.

  • External insight and networks relevant for successful delivery of the role.
