Full Job Description

This role offers a great opportunity to work in an environment offering a diverse range of projects that build commercial skills and experience in both sourcing and contract management activities.

The successful candidate will work on a range of projects and procurement spanning all stages of the procurement lifecycle for diverse requirements in support of the Strategic Command DI community.

In this role you will get the opportunity to:

Assist in the development of procurement strategies on single source or competitive routes.
Assist in the development of robust commercial strategies that will deliver effective contractual solutions, manage commercial risk, and provide the best possible value for money.
Develop tender documentation and lead/support in tender activity.
Lead on Contract Management to ensure our contracts deliver the required outputs, negotiating contract amendments and pricing when needed.
Contribute to the commercial community by sharing best practice and LFE, actively seeking out opportunities to support the development of commercial skills both within the function and in the wider business.
Engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner, providing specialist commercial advice and support to customers.
Provide support to the customer with contract administration and amendments including the raising of purchase orders, contract agreements and the on-boarding of new suppliers.

If successful, you will be supported to undertake a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification at Level 4 if not already held.
