Full Job Description

Do you want to work at Scotland's number one Student Union? Looking for work that will be rewarding, exciting and gives something back to your fellow Strathclyders? Here at Strath Union we're looking to recruit student staff for all areas of our services in the heart of the Campus for academic year 2024/25 and would love to have you onboard.,

  • Collaborate with student officers and staff to plan and deliver a programme of events and activities to engage the PGR student community.

  • Raise awareness of the Union's services and promote relevant PGR activities and opportunities through social media, email, and in person.

  • Connect with the Doctoral Researchers' Group and Doctoral School to engage PGR students and support relevant activities.

  • Update Strath Union's website with PGR specific information including events and ticket details. Assist in handling queries via email and in person.

  • Carry out evaluation and monitoring of the project including creation of an impact report.

    We are looking for students who enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment and have great communication and customer service skills or the desire to learn and develop these., Essential:

  • Post-graduate research experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience of working as part of a team

  • Ability to work independently and using initiative

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Commitment to equal opportunities


  • All applicants must be in Glasgow and available for training from the 9th September

    All applicants must be Strathclyde students for the whole academic year 2024-25

    Desirable:
  • Experience of event planning and management
